BREAKING: Why I Will NEVER Probe Amaechi, Despite Evidence Linking Him To The $43 Million - Buhari Breaks Silence

President Muhammadu Buhari, has on Monday night, broken his silence over the allegation that claims that the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, stashed away huge sums of money, both in foreign and local currencies, in a luxury apartment, in Ikoyi.
Recall, that the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has denied ever issuing money directly to the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA.
Buhari who spoke through the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), said he has not been directed by Mr President to investigate the huge amount of money recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Lagos, because the issue is still premature.
“We cannot investigate or probe the recovered Ikoyi loot, because the case is still premature”, Malami said.
Meanwhile, Lawyers have expressed worry over the litany of discoveries of mysterious funds by the EFCC.
The mysterious cash discoveries according to them, are coming on the heels of the late night raids of the dwelling houses of some serving Judges on the 8th October, 2016.
The Lawyers wondered whether commercial banks are no longer functioning, to warrant storage of such cash in someone’s office or apartment.
The Lawyers further questioned the intention of persons involved in warehousing cash at various locations, and wondered which bank would lend withdrawal approval of such cash.
